I am Zinat, a 10-year-old student at Challengers ki Pathshala.
I have been attending Challengers Ki Pathshala for the past 6 years. Before joining the pathshala, my life revolved around playing and wandering. One day, Prince Bhaiya visited our Basti (Slum) and told us about the Challengers Ki Pathshala.
We managed toreach Sector 25 pathshala, where our education journey began in an open environment. Now, I study at Sector 22 Center, which provides us with all the facilities including smart classes. After visiting here, my life changed significantly, I started focusing in my studies and extra curricular activities.
I have been studying at Challengers Ki Pathshala for the past 6 years, and when I first joined, I was very young. Now, I have entered Class 10th. I am the first girl in my family to reach Class 10th. Alongside my studies, I have participated in various competitions organized at school, providing me with the opportunity to take part in events I had never tried before. In a dance competition, I won a silver medal for the first time.
Additionally, I took part in a poster-making competition on World AIDS Day, where I secured the first position among 300 students. I was honored with the first prize by the renowned cartoonist Asim Trivedi. When I brought the award home, my dad was so happy that tears of joy welled up in his eyes. Studying at pathshala has inspired me to make decisions about my future. Now, in Class 10, I aspire to become an artist. Alongside this, I plan to assist Challengers Ki Pathshala in helping children read for free. In the 6-year journey at pathshala, I learned something new every day. Meeting various new people and officers has boosted my morale every day.
Since I entered Pathshala, I've aspired to do something new in life. Despite battling a serious illness thalassemia, the support of blood donations every third month has sustained me. Pathshala not only provided education but also boosted my confidence to combat this illness. I had never participated in any competition before, but upon joining pathshala,
I got the opportunity to perform on a big stage. I never imagined visiting the Presidential Palace, and my dream was fulfilled. Growing up, I aspire to become an IPS officer.
Despite facing numerous challenges in my childhood, including family conflicts, I persevered and managed to reach the 10th grade somehow and then a traumatic incident were happened where acid was thrown on me. However, my pursuit of education was hindered as schools rejected my admission due to my appearance, claiming it could frighten other students. Undeterred by these setbacks, I recently found solace and opportunity at Challengers Ki Pathshala.
Here, I have not only learned to read and write but also witnessed a significant boost in my self-confidence. My fellow students has created a supportive environment where we all study together and forge meaningful friendships. I do job at a café run for acid attack survivors, though I encounter challenges when it comes to taking orders. Now I can easily take orders here. The learning experience at Challengers Ki Pathshala has been transformative for me. It's providing me with the chance to acquire new skills, broaden my knowledge, and ultimately build a brighter future. This journey, marked by resilience and determination, has shown me the power of education and the importance of overcoming adversity. With the support of my newfound friends and the opportunities at Challengers Ki Pathshala I'm steadily progressing towards a more promising and fulfilling life.
I am in the 7th grade. Before joining Challengers Ki Pathshala, I used to help my dad with household chores, and collecting of garbage. When the lockdown was imposed, my regular school routine was disrupted. After joining Challengers Ki Pathshala, my education resumed, and along with studies, I got the opportunity to learn various things like art, dance, and music.
I participated in an art competition organized, where I created a drawing of actor Sonu Sood, and I was thrilled to secure Second place. This achievement led to a chance to meet actor Sonu Sood in Mumbai, boosting my confidence. I am determined to continue my education, bringing pride to my parents and shining a light on my pathshala.
Before joining Challengers Ki Pathshala, I found myself caught up in iron collecting and selling it also i used to eat tobacco with my friends. It was during one of these moments that the teacher of Pathshala noticed me and decided to offer some guidance. I am truly grateful for that intervention, as it marked the beginning of a positive change in my life.
Since then, I've not only kicked the habit of chewing tobacco but have also discovered a newfound interest in learning. Prior to my time at Challengers Ki Pathshala, I had never been to school, as I didn't find much appeal in academics. However, the supportive environment here has made a significant impact on me. I've not only learned the basics like ABCD and counting but much more that has expanded my horizons. Now, I am thrilled at the prospect of securing admission in school. The idea of continuing my education brings me immense joy and a sense of accomplishment.
I am Zinat, a 10-year-old student at Challengers ki Pathshala. Initially, I used to collect plastic and waste for a few earnings, dreaming of going to school. However, my family couldn't afford the fees. One day, my mother got to know about Challengers ki Pathshala, and now I'm happily studying here. I aspire to become a doctor as
I enjoy my studies and have wonderful teachers. In the past, I couldn't read at all, but now I can both read and write. This is my first experience with formal education, and I'm excited that other kids like me are also getting admissions. My teacher assures me that I'll be attending school soon, and I'm looking forward to that bright future.
